Modern Dance (Modern Jazz)

Modern dance is designed to give children stage awareness, developing good technique and strength. Our students follow the I.S.T.D. Syllabus, giving them a sense of self-discipline and confidence. For those wanting to consider Dance as a career, Modern Dance is the ideal dance style to follow. Children can begin Modern Dance at the age of 4 and start in Primary grade. At the end of each term we assess each candidate to establish whether they are ready of their examination. On success of an Examination, students are automatically moved into the next grade. All Examinations are taken by qualified examiners of the Imperial Society of teachers of Dancing and are held at our own studios, an Exam Centre or a Registered dance School. Most of our Exams are held in our own studios, either in Calne or Melksham, Wiltshire.
