Tap Dance

Tap Dancing classes are for both children and adults. The children’s classes work through the Imperial Society of Teachers of dancing (I.S.T.D.) Syllabus. Children can begin tap at the age of 5 and start in the Primary Grade. At the end of each term we assess each candidate to establish whether they are ready of their first examination assessment. On success of an Examination, students are automatically moved into the next grade. All Examinations are taken by qualified examiners of the Imperial Society of teachers of Dancing and are held at our own studios, an Exam Centre or a Registered dance School. Most of our Exams are held in our own studios, either in Calne, Marlborough or Melksham, Wiltshire.

The Adult classes are freestyle (non-syllabus based). We put these classes together as a safe and beneficial way to exercise. Beginner classes are for those who have either never tapped before or who tapped when they were children and wish to get back into it. We begin by teaching the basic steps and then putting them together into small amalgamations. Medals can be obtained through the ISTD or IDTA should the students wish to take the classes a little more seriously.

Improvers/Intermediate Tap classes are also available to our adults students.
